J.T. Dean
As director of individual and major gifts, J.T. Dean leads the engagement, fundraising and stewardship programs for individual supporters and family philanthropy. Prior to joining the Chesapeake Conservancy, Dean served as the director of major gifts and foundations relations at Loyola Blakefield. As a dedicated career nonprofit professional, he has also held fundraising roles at Johns Hopkins University and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and worked in advocacy at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.
Dean holds a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University and a certificate in business communications from Johns Hopkins University. As a runner, boater and native plant enthusiast, he is committed to the health of the Chesapeake Bay watershed for the benefit of all communities, especially underrepresented populations. He also spends his free time cheering for Philadelphia sports teams and enjoying the trails around his home in Cockeysville with his wife and two daughters.
