Michael Bowman is a native Marylander, who grew up in Southern Maryland along the beaches of the Chesapeake Bay which gave him a passion to learn and protect the environment. He is a graduate of Salisbury University with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a minor in History. Following graduation, Michael began work at the Chesapeake Conservancy as a seasonal staffer for the Chesapeake Roving Ranger; where he traveled throughout the Chesapeake Bay educating the public on the importance of the Chesapeake Bay and providing interpretive lessons. Michael has rejoined the Chesapeake Conservancy as the Partnership Communications Associate where he will once again involve himself in educating the public on the benefits of the Chesapeake Bay and advancing the mission of the Chesapeake Conservancy. In his free time, Michael likes to hike, go to the beach, read, and spend time outdoors with friends.
