Lisa Spallitta is supporting Chesapeake Conservancy as a finance and IT manager. She brings with her broad experience as an independent contractor in accounting and IT management. Spallitta holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business information systems from Loyola College (now University) in Baltimore.
Before joining Chesapeake Conservancy, Spallitta worked with other environmental nonprofits and was executive director of the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Center. Among the things she enjoyed in that position was planning environmental clean-up projects for groups of volunteers.
Originally from Baltimore County, but having lived in Annapolis since 2009, Spallitta is a graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel’s Flagship program and is now chair of LAA’s Environment Day committee.
To further her passion for conservation and the Chesapeake Bay, she became an Anne Arundel County Watershed Steward and serves on the board of Spa Creek Conservancy. In her spare time, Spallitta is an avid bicyclist who also enjoys traveling near and far, sailing, paddleboarding, snowboarding and cleaning up our streams and rivers.
