Watch our osprey webcam to see our favorite resident osprey, Tom and Audrey, as they return from their journey, build their nest, raise their chicks, and go about their daily lives. Osprey are great indicators for how well we are doing at protecting the Chesapeake Bay.
Meet the newest member of the wildlife webcam family cosponsored by the Chesapeake Conservancy and Waterfowl Chesapeake! Get up close with a great blue heron rookery. This colony of up of 10-12 nests features couple “Rell & Eddie,” named after the surfers Rell Sunn and Eddie Aikau.
Please remember that viewing wild animals in their environment can be difficult at times for humans to watch. The Chesapeake Conservancy will turn off our cams at our own discretion should we decide the need to do so.
The Chesapeake Conservancy and the National Geographic Society have also produced a fun and innovative app that allows people to explore the Chesapeake region’s National Wildlife Refuges, so everyone can better understand and appreciate the extraordinary value of these protected areas and our wildlife in the Bay and along our great rivers.
